Local Leadership

Local leadership teams: Each village has a team of people who serve as leaders. These local leaders care deeply about their communities and are an integral part of our leadership structure and a key component for sustainable change.

Renald Michel (In-Country Director): Directs all Hope for Health activities and programs on the ground in Haiti, maintains regular communication with the Executive Director communicating any needs or situations that need addressing, visits villages regularly to check in, communicate information and hear how things are going serving as a liaison between the Executive Director and the village leaders.

Mary Benner (Executive Director): Sets overall direction for the organization, discerning direction and developing long term objectives and strategy while ensuring current projects, goals and the overall mission are on track. Maintains positive, responsive relationships of respect and care with leaders, partner organizations, the In-County Director, the communities and the Board.
